Cycled Air Conditioning
Save Energy and Money with the Cycled Air Conditioning program
This load management program allows you to help reduce energy use when demand for energy is at its highest. Brief, periodic cycling of the central air conditioning system can reduce the demand for electricity during this time. That helps keep energy costs down.
How does it work?
When you sign up for the program, Nobles Cooperative Electric installs (at no cost to you) a special radio receiver on your central air conditioner.
Am I eligible to participate?
If you are an electric cooperative member with a central air conditioner, you are eligible to participate. Homeowners who have window air conditioners are currently not eligible.
Incentive?
Members who agree to connect their central air conditioner/heat pumps to Nobles Cooperative Electric's load management system qualify for a $6 credit per month for the billing cycles of June through August with a minimum usage of 250 kilowatt-hours per month. Members also receive $35 just for signing up!
